Save weekly bin pickups in Lake Macquarie!

We are a family of 8 ,YES A VERY LARGE FAMILY so you can imagine our weekly General Waste bin . Our bin by the end of the week is very fill so PLEASE NO WE CAN NOT HAVE A FORTNIGHT PICK UP WE NEED IT TO BE WEEKLY

I think this is a stupid idea , it’s going to cause more littering , smelly bins , we are a large family 9 people live here , there will be more rubbish imagine the smell from nappies , pawns seafood , dog poo , more flys sticking around and council is whinging with people dumping crap everywhere now they want to get general bins to get empty fortnightly , have fun with everyone dumping there general waste everywhere more things for you”se to do I suppose

We are a family of 7 & our bins fill up very fast, our bins are all full by collection day. Fortnightly pick up will not be a great idea

What is wrong with LMC???? As if rubbish isn’t getting dumped in our previous bush enough now ??????? Is there anybody with any common sense running this Council ??????

Disabled people have personal items that need to be taken away regularly and produce a large amount too

I dont want fortnughtly general waste collection but I want a smaller weekly bin.Don want a separate green bin either,no room in garage. (strata unit).

We need more bin services, not less .

We do not live in a third world country and our city shouldn't smell like one. I would rather have a smaller bin with weekly pickup if this is really about landfill and not just cost cutting.

Family of 5 with many pets... we fill up our bin to the point of almost overflowing every week... We already pay enough to get it collected 52 times a year (if the drivers actually remember our street)

We pay enough rates for a bin collection each week. If it a cost thing, maybe the Counsellors need to take a pay cut, because most people don’t know who they are

Unacceptable! This is an essential service, and requires weekly servicing. People will resort to illegal dumping. This will impact our environment, our waterways and our native animals. This is a backwards step in relation to the conservation of our local flora and fauna.

Basic sanitation is the least I expect from paying council rates!

if we want poor sanitary in our city, then go for it
