It’s a disgraceful suggestion. What would be the benefit of doing this?

With a elderly person & a person with special needs in our household our bin cannot go 2 weeks without getting emptied. Many other household with babies etc will have same problem.

The worst idea imaginable. No other council stupid enough to try this for obvious reasons. If waste not pucked up werkly is there a reduction in rates too.

We need bins collected weekly people fill their garbage bins and they would stink. Im not leaving a stinky bin near my house for a fortnight they will be put near the road.

This is an absolute outrage and enough for us to consider moving out of this area. Imagine the increased attraction of vermon to our neighbourhoods and the overflowing of council bins in our parks because residents don’t have room for their general waste in their backyard bins. We are extremely unhappy and disgusted by this decision.

What a joke! People already fill there bin every week! Not to mention dirty nappies etc being put in there! We pay rates for this!!!!

I agree our community will suffer if this is implemented.

We need weekly bins just look around and notice 95% of bins are full every week and overflowing so weekly bins are necessary especially with disabled people babies etc

We are a large family. Its not fair. We aready pay extra for second bin, and larger recycle bin. And who wants a stinky bin left for 2 weeks. Except maybe rats. Disgusting.

I pay for a weekly collection so you will collect it weekly. Stop being tight arses and do the job you were elected to do.

As a ratepayer, I expect this service to be weekly and if you intend on reducing the services I pay for, I will expect a drastic reduction in my rates! You are up for election soon aren’t you?

Reducing rubbish collections is not the answer! If it was really about wncouraging the use of recycling and green waste bins you would collect them weekly AS WELL not make us live in filth. How about we put our dirty nappies and meat packaging outside council chambers, see how good they smell to you after a couple of weeks.
