Save the school. It’s so important for our community and the futures of our children.

As a social worker I referred families with kids with additional needs to Waterford due to its excellence In providing care

Waterford has provided a high quality preschool environment for many many years. It has been a wonderful resource for children with additional needs/disability. As a Social Worker who has worked in this area for more than 30 years, I have referred many families and have known once they arrived at Waterford they would be cared for and educated so that each child could attain their potential. There is a dearth of high quality preschools in the eastern suburbs so please keep this open.

Please save this pre school. Such an important place for the kids!

There are simply not enough preschools of this kind in our area.

Not acceptable closing Centre, consider the family’s effected and the difficulties it would create.

Waterford preschool is one of the best educational services for children with special needs in the eastern Suburbs. The educators experience and commitment to the children is outstanding. As a social worker in disability for the past 20 years I have confidently steered families to Waterford knowing their children will be given a Quality preschool program prior to entering school. It is essential Waterford Preschool continues so that families can provide their children with and without special needs with an education that will equip them for their future.

Preschools like this are so rare in the eastern suburbs. We need more options and alternatives to the big daycare centres and this was one of the few good alternatives. What a shame

This decision is both shocking and wrong. The needs of our children need to be our prioruty. We should be expanding the preschool not eliminating it. How very sad to learn this is not a priority. Surely a combination of private funding and local government support could result in a better long term plan.

I am age 42 and I went to this amazing Pre school! It would be such a shame for it to close.

I am saddened by the abruptness of this decision and the effect that it has in the community , staff and families.. surely such a drastic decision should have NOT been made in the middle of a pandemic and u should have allowed yourselves adequate time for such a transition and knowing the effect it would have in families , your staff who have given so much to our children and the community?? Your in sufficient ability to plan should not be effecting others?? Poor form WAverly college !!! I am disappointed by your insensitivity and poor sense of timing.. Amanda Miller

Please save this gorgeous pre school.

My eldest son went to Waterford, and it was a vital part of his readiness for primary school. The staff are caring and nurturing and we couldn’t rate this preschool more highly. We were hoping our youngest son would go to Waterford too. Please don’t close this preschool. There are so few places like it, and it’s a great community asset that we need now more than ever with so many young children living in the area.

This is the most devastating news!!! This preschool provides such community support and teaching to all children!!! Including those with additional needs. The teachers are amazing...... surely this can not be happening to such. A highly regarded and passionate centre!!!!

Shocking news about Waterford! This preschool must be saved! It has an incredible history in the community as an important valuable educational setting . We must all fight this action .

This preschool helps the whole community and Without it this community is unable to work and support each other.

My nephew has friends at this school.

Waterford Preschool is a vibrant, loving & inclusive place where all children thrive. It's contribution to the growth & happiness of our young children is invaluable. It must not close. (A concerned grandparent of Waterford children)
