Save Waterford Preschool

Waterford is an absolutely fantastic place. Our daughter loved it and we are hoping to send our son there when we return from Melbourne.

My daughter went to Waterford and we were hoping to send our son there on 2022. It is an amazing place. It would be terrible to have it closed as it is a big part of the local community. Shame on you Waverley College.

Won’t somebody think of the children

So saddened to hear that the last connection to Sydney Teacher's Kindergarten is going to be taken away. Such a loss for the community and the school’s reputation.

Waverley College hang your head in shame. Your management would have known months, if not a year, of this shameful decision and instead made the choice to tell families three months before closure, leaving a lot of children stuck to find adequate care arrangements in the area - esp the families who’s children’s require special needs. And the educators, who have been the heart and soul of the centre for an average of 15 years! I struggle to understand how this demonstrates the catholic (particularly the Edmund Rice tradition) values you teach your students? Please explain Graham.

This preschool has so much history. I remember it as a demonstration preschool when I studied at Kindergarten Teachers College. It has an exceeding rating and is known for providing a quality early childhood program. Please don’t close it as it will be a great loss to the community and will reduce the number of community preschools in Sydney which should be maintained for future generations.

This will be such a loss for our community.

This preschool is as good as it gets. The community won’t be the same without it and my family is so saddened at this decision.

Such a beautiful part of the community and very poorly handled by Waverley.

Waterford is one of the best Pre schools I have ever come across - it sets a gold standards, to lose such an institution is outrageous.

Keep Waterford going and relocate

We need Community based Preschools to keep operating.

Please keep this valuable community asset open.

Keep this amazing institution and the incredible people who work there.

I have been a supporter of Waterford Preschool for many years . As an early childhood educator I have always seen the best inclusive practices displayed here . I do not understand why such a high quality centre is closing ??

Having community preschools is a huge benefit for society. Not only for the parents and children that attend but the community as a whole.
