I've spent many happy hours swimming laps in the excellent adult squad here, as well as watching my daughter learn to swim in classes. It would be a great shame to see this fantastic aquatic centre closed.

Please do not take our pool away from us. This facility was build for the people in the immediate and wider community with rate payers money. We own the pool it belongs to all the past, present and future people in the Warringah area and beyond. So many different groups use this facility. It is the only 50 metre indoor pool in the area, where will schools hold their carnivals? They can't go back to the good old rock pool days. Where will people young and old learn to swim, where will they hold water polo competitions, where will all the new resident of Frenchs Forest an estimated 10,000 , find aquatic recreational facilities near by? Why cant the school and the pool co exist? Imagine a public school with access to a facility such as the Warringah Aquatic Centre within walking distance. The pool is sound, it meets wide needs of the community. It employs people who contribute to the local economy and to close it would be a disaster for all our local communities. Why do we have to sacrifice one essential institution ie the pool for another ie the school, why can't we have both?

Ridiculous to waste money building a new centre... this one is great

Please do not waste anymore of the taxpayers funds by swapping with the Forest High School. Please refurbish both, but don't close either. Let's keep the Forest somewhat Forest.

Please see my submission to council for all my reasons why the aquatic center should be left as is. Even if it needs money spending on it for maintenance.

The aquatic centre is in a great location as it is. What would you replace it with? Move the high school to the defunct spastic centre

Removing an essential facility for many families and children makes no sense. A replacement pool will be many years away, if at all with the current draft structure plan.

My whole family use this pool for squads, learn to swim and Masters swimming. Please think before closing this pool as there is no other facility with capacity to take all these groups.

Weekly user of the diving pool. The only diving pool within an hour drive from us. Please don't close this pool.

There is no good and clear argument that has been made that shows any benefit to closing/ relocating the current aquatic centre. It should stay.

Build a new one, then scrap the old one

Keep the aquatic centre open-surely the new school and WAC can co-exist? There would be more space then at the new town centre for other facilities.

Our family needs to swim regularly and a convenient pool is so important for community health

Do not demolish the aquatic centre!

It seems to me that it is a big waste of money to build a new pool when we already have a great one. I imagine that they will close the pool and never reopen

WAC is an awesome place to swim, train, do gym...and having fun with our kids, especially since the new outdoor area is open. It is a 50 m olympic pool, and is a very nice venue for a lot of schools swim carnival. Why would you deprive us from this? Please don't. Thanks

The northern beaches need this pool, this shouldn't even be under consideration. Ridiculous to even think of shutting this down. Our children struggle enough with getting into suitable swim squads and to take this away from them would be an outrage.

Seems to me this is a silly move. The Aquatic Centre is a fantastic facility that we have used for many years. Why tear something good down, seems to be a huge waste of money and not a responsible move. Please don't touch it apart from updates.
