The Aquatic Centre is iconic....for teaching swimming , ,training & fitness .It is indoor & has high ceilings to minimise excess noise.Pools built since it often don't have 50metres & dive pool .....facilities built since it are not as well planned. Let Waringah keep its Pool.

Why demolish the Aquatic centre if they are planning to build a High School right next to it surely the school could utilise this 50 Metre indoor pool.

What a waste of money knocking this down. I used to swim there as a kid and now my nieces and nephews swim there. It's just been renovated too. Please don't waste anymore taxpayers and ratepayers money by knocking down a perfectly good facility

To close this facility would be an absolute travesty to the thousands of people who use it!

The Aquatic Centre is where I learnt to swim and walk 30yrs ago. Because I was knocked over by a car off a pushbike and suffered brain damage.

My children are all adults now but I clearly remember taking them to the Warringah Aquatic Center . We had many great times there . I would be saddened to see it demolished. My granddaughter would enjoy swimming there .

The pool is particularly important at this time of the year as it supports 40 School and zone carnivals.

Please keep this centre open it is the only 50 metre indoor public pool available to the public. How much has recently been spent on the upgrade of the kiddies play area & high rise painting of the facade? It is disappointing that the Gov only considers the large parcel of public land they can get their hands on. The Northern Beaches does not need another shopping centre. Thank you Emma

Drownings have increased significantly in the past 12 months and you (who ever you are) want to demolish a swimming pool complex? How irresponsible and thoughtless! How about you build the replacement pool first before you demolish what we have?

What guarantee is there that a replacement pool will be built?

Keep the Aquatic Centre and baseball fields, two great community facilities. Both on recreational land, NO rezoning. Excluded from the Manly Warringah War Memorial Park last Plan of Management, should not have happened as this is part of Manly Dam. A school would require a massive fire break, destroying protected bushland. Think responsibly before any proposal for disturbing this land, being an old landfill site, it is best left alone!!

The local council has recently spent millions to keep this pool running. It doesn't look modern and snazzy but who cares, its perfectly good as it is. Likewise, picking up a perfectly good high school and moving it half a kilometre across a busy road is madness. Someone's going to make a lot of money out of this; there must be someone with connections to developers making these decisions. The whole thing stinks of corruption. Worse still the new plans don't show any easy walking or cycle access from the new 'residential hub' to the new school; it will only be easily accessible by DRIVING across that insanely busy piece of traffic spaghetti. Insanity.

So important to so many people young and old. Find another site for the high school.
