If the closure goes ahead what guarantee do the residents of the Northern Beaches and infant all the visitors from across Sydney have? Build the new facility first before the closure.

I hope they don't get rid of it as it's somewhere a family can go for a outing and also to watch there kids or grandkids at school carnivals but at the end of the day the council will do whatever they want basically taking away from the community for the kids to have fun as some people can go to the beach cause of the sand

If there is a need to close the current facility then a new one should be developed and opened prior to the closure.
The closure of this facility without an immediate replacement would have a huge impact on local schools ability to hold carnivals and water polo comps as well as general learn to swim, fitness ect. In a time where too many people are losing their lives to drownings we need more swim education/training facilities not less

Even in the very best circumstances our region will be without a crucial community facility for 4-5 years. This is completely unacceptable && extremely foolish I terms of removing all the community benefits the Aquatic Centre delivers - fitness, learning to swim, classes for older residents that have become key parts of supportive social network s etc . The list goes on..

There isn't enough Pool's on the northern beaches, to close Warringah Aquatic Centre is absurd! Where will all the schools and associations hold their swimming carnivals and completions? This pool has so much history, it has shaped countless champions and will shape countless more. It's imperative it stays open. Stop all the greed on the northern beaches PLEASE!! It's the community to suffer.

There has to be a better way than demolishing the centre. It is so valuable to the community and even a short term loss would be devestating.

Any official who approves the demolition of this pool to rebuild another elsewhere should be investigated for misuse of public funds. Plan around the existing Warringah Aquatic Centre, and show some respect for rate/tax payers money and the environment!

Please save our aquatic centre. I spent most of my childhood here and have lots of childhood memories here. I love that I can not only share my own stories with my kids but now I can make new memories here with my own children.
