Work within the existing footprint... No need for more shops therefore no need to move school therefore no need to close the aquatic centre and lose open space.

We need to retain this pool throughout the construction process and until the new facilities are commissioned. Further the new facilities should be enhanced on the existing and include for a purpose built Waterpolo pool making it the home for our popular NB Breakers Club.

This facility is a community treasure. We love it. All the hard work that has been done to make it what it is, can not be recreated by the best funded, best intentioned or best designed plans. Please just step back and listen to us for a minute. Save this wondeful place, please.

I am ten years old.I have been swimming my whole life and I love it.but when I found out it was closing I was heartbroken. I really really don't want it to close. It is one of my favourite places to go.I feel very lucky that I get to swim but if the swimming pool closes more people wont get to swim.

Although Manly "Boy Charlton" pool has been upgraded, with ever increasing resident numbers, not having Warringah Aquatic Centre while an other pool is built (when and if) is simply not good enough.
The planners for the new hospital should have sourced and secured an appropriate site for a new swim centre so construction could have started at the same time as the hospital.
Once the new pool is completed the existing Aquatic Centre can be demolished to built a new Forest High, etc, etc

Please do your research before knocking this facility down. Other areas/ regions have multiple aquatic facilities for the public to access and encourage multiple sports which equals a healthier community.
To knock the WAC down and "wait" for a new facility is a complete waste of money and time, where do all the children and public go in the meantime? 1 aquatic centre across the entire Northern beaches is NOT good enough. We live in an area that opens itself to an active and healthy lifestyle, yet you wish to take this away. One sport in particular that will suffer is WAter polo. If you looked into this sport you would realize that there is. It enough pool space to accommodate for the number of teams and competitions needing training and game time,l. This in itself can bring in a lot of revenue for a pool. These children will miss out and move away from this sport and MAnly pool is limited in its capacity. As it stands today, we only have one water polo club on the northern beaches to which kids stop playing because they don't make teams because there is. It enough pool space to increase the participation numbers.
Please keep the WAC it is a much needed facility in our community and NO we should not have to wait for another one to be built. We all know that they say it will be replaced, but it is u likely. In the event they do re build it in tue new location, what happens in the mean time to all schools and associations who use this pool? These schools and associations will move to other council areas and pay them the money and this would be a big loss to our council. Unlike the process surrounding the construction of the ma lay renovation, do your research and you might realize just how profitable an aquatic centre facility can be. However it is not all about money, it is also about servicing the community. If you love in the Sutherland shore you have a variety of aquatic centers to choose from: caringah, sans souci, Sutherland. All facilities have both 50m and

This centre is a pinnacle of our community, used for thousands of kids learning to swim and all local schools zone swimming festivals . how can you even consider closing? It's hard enough to get spots in a swim school as it is. Swimming is an essential life school on the Northern Beaches.

I use this pool weekly. Would be a disgusting waste to see it go just so developers can grab a bit of extra land on the current FF school site. As much as they say they will replace it with a new pool in the new town centre, lets face it that is balls and once gone will never be replaced.
