Me, my children and grandchildren have used this facility for decades for fun, fitness and events.
A great outdoor facility has recently been added to make it even better.
Committees entrusted with spending taxpayers hard earned $$$ should think laterally, and build a multi story School and car park on the land currently used as a car park, adjacent not only to this valuable facility but and existing oval.
No wonder state assets are having to be sold off to fund this irresponsible proposal.

Ridiculous after paying millions to do it up!!!!
If they do this they will never build another aquatic center !!!!! don't know why they think we are stupid and believe that crap!!!
They aren't making enough money that's why but I don't think it should be about that I think the council owe us they continue put up rate ect so it time they give back and leave the center to the people!!!

Please leave the pool where it is. Too put it in the proposed new Town centre seems a rather ill thought out decision, parking will be impossible with people vying for free hospital parking, shopping and restaurants. Not to mention the cost or years we'll be without a pool. Aren't we enduring enough will the chaotic roads already. Waste of tax payers money to relocate school and pool.

A viable alternative for swimming facilities is needed before closing this one. I cannot support the re-development unless there is a way to preserve this important community resource.

We are already unable to accommodate all the schools in the area for their swimming carnivals. This will put more pressure on surrounding pools who are already doing half day carnivals. Some larger schools need to hire for the whole day and need to look further a field fir theirs.

The only benefit I can see to this plan is if you are a property developer. Seriously. From reading what is freely available on google there is only a vague plan to rebuild in a new site in the paragraph titled Next 20yrs If the goverment was serious there would be a plan to build the new pool before demolishing the old one, but there is not!!!!

Surely this can be kept on the school site if the school is moved there. It is so expensive to build a new pool, as we have seen from the new pool at manly.

Keep warringh aquatic centre where it is. Do not knock it down. I enjoy going there with my family. It has 3 good size pools. The outside pool is great is summer. Kids can touch the bottom easily and play. Many families can't afford a back yard pool and this is similar. The indoor pool is a good big size where I do laps. Keep the pool in this exact location.

Why have there not been any other proposals regarding the placement of the new high school? Demolishing Warringah Aquatic Centre a well used irreplaceable asset in our community would be a waste of ratepayers money by the Northern Beaches Council.

Renovate Warringah Aquatic Centre - restore it to its grand self.
It is the only indoor public 50mtr pool between Neutral Bay and Palm Beach.
It is common ground that this area does not have enough learn to swim centres and squad training pools.
This pool supplies vital support to our community holding squad training, aqua aerobics, water polo, learn to swim, general lap swimming, water play park, etc
The Government/Northern Beaches Council will not build another pool if it is demolished as they are only required to have one pool per council and that is Manly pool.
When the Wac was originally built it almost sent the council broke.
My children both swim at this pool 3 times a week and I do laps to keep fit all without parking problems in an all weather environment.

My family and I have used this pool for years for leisure, training and competitions. It's the only 50meter indoor pool in this area. On top of that we are already short of pools in this area and it's hard enough to get children into swimming lessons as we have waiting lists. Learn to swim is a necessity for life.
