It's hard enough to get access to swim squads for my kids now. It would be impossible if the only pool available was Manly. Swimming is part of the Northern Beaches lifestyle, removing the aquatic centre would be disastrous.

Swimming is not only an important skill for kids to develop, but also a fantastic low impact form of exercise for all ages. I grew up going to the Warringsh Aquatic Centre and now my son loves it too. It is such an important resource for the Northern Beaches. We need a local indoor 50m swimming pool so that all of the schools in the area have a good facility to run swimming carnivals.

A registered charity, Rainbow Club, teaches disabled children, in a one on one environment at Warringah Aquatic Centre, to swim on Sundays. Discrimination against disabled children must not happen. No pool shut down.

Why would you close this facility - so many groups, schools and clubs use it? Where are they going to go to the new monstrosity on Balgowlah Road - that would be too expensive for most people. BTW it is an eyesore why would you build it apparently no one is coming. Why would you close Warringah Aquatic Centre when it used all the time? Mixed up logic to me.

I used to come Griffith to compete at that pool. It's part of the Northern Beaches and they need a pool.

If this pool closes, there is
NO GUARANTEE that another pool will be built to replace it, let alone immediately, let alone with the deep water facilities needed for diving and water polo. This pool MUST stay open to provide the unique facilities on the Northern Beaches.

The Diving Boards are 1 of a kind in Sydney, in that they are open to the public. Also they are the ONLY diving boards on the Northern Beaches! This makes them very important to the sport of Diving as without them there would be no way to enjoy the sport. Fpr these reasons they must stay!

We need this Centre to stay open. There is no guarantee that a 50metre enclosed pool would replace this present well used and very needed venue.

The pool is the only one on this side of the harbour that still has proper diving boards and diving boards. Please keep the pool and diving boards.

Please keep the pool open. Where are the school swimming carnivals going to be held if there is no pool? We need to keep some infrastructure and not just keep building new housing with nothing else. We all know that it will not be rebuilt if it is pulled down.

Our community need this pool to remain where it is. Moving it would take quite a few years. So what do the users do especially the get fit and aqua classes. If moved wont be the same size. Only a shadow of its former site.
