I am almost 88 and swim every weekday morning at this pool - it will be a huge personal loss to me and my health to take it away!

The loss of this pool would be a huge loss, not just to Frenchs Forest, but also to a much wider area. Facilities like this must not be discarded lightly.

We need another 50m pool on the Northern Beaches that covers the areas away from Manly. It is used for a multitude of purposes that are important for our community

Warringah Aquatic Centre is a comprehensive community rescource, not only fostering squad swimmers at a state, national, commonwealth & olympic level, but also a community resource for teaching children of all ages a life saving skill (obviously paramount in the northern beaches,) supports "master" swimmers and includes active senior classes.
Warringah Aquatic hosts the annual school swimming carnivals for 47 schools, probably around 24,000 students!
Closing Warringah Aquatic would NOT serve our existing and growing community. We the ratepayers deserve to be heard!

This is the only 50meter indoor facility on the northern beaches. The closure of this pool lacks any foresight or common sense, given the current shortage of pool space for lessons, and the ongoing issues with drownings in this country

This swim centre should not be closed. Way too much usage each and every day. We need more pools not less.

Why don't you keep the pool and move the school to parkland next door? Both could coexist.

The State Government and their appointed Administrator cannot be trusted on the issue of the Aquatic Centre. Every school on the peninsula is currently having their school swimming carnival. Close the centre and you have no indoor swim centre with a 50 metre pool on the peninsula, schools will have to transport their students to Lane Cove, Ryde or North Sydney for future carnivals. The Manly Swim Centre could not accommodate the Warringah Aquatic Centre bookings.
Where do children learn to swim ?
Where do rate payers enjoy swimming laps ?
Where do elite swimmers train in an indoor centre ?
What do the local Water Polo players hold their competition ?
Where do parents wanting to host a pool party for their children that is supervised by Aquatic Centre Staff hold their party ?
What happened to the planned upgrade and expansion of the Aquatic Centre proposed by the former Warringah Council ?

This community facility is used by thousands of all ages. When the health and wellbeing of our community is one of the most important things a Council could possibly support I believe the closure of such a facility to be completely irresponsible.

I swim at the Aquatic Centre twice weekly and it is my only way of getting great exercise in my busy working week.
Our Club the Warringah Masters has been training there for so many years and we would all be devastated if it shut down
