Where will all the school carnivals go ??!! Crazy to close such a great facility. I do adult squads and my kids do junior squads every week - such a great healthy activity for us all.

Please do not let this facility go. We are ratepayers, this is our pool, apart from the health benefits of swimming & the fitness & well being of the community.

It's totally impractical to close the only INDOOR 50m pool on the Peninsula that caters for the increasing youth population especially when government s espouse policies to reduce childhood obesity. Aren't the days of the corrupt Labor govt over or will greed and selfishness win again? Think of the future of your children and grow a pair!

#governmentfail ... what justification exists for removing outdoor resources that promote healthy and safe swimming for children and adults? No adequate and compelling written explanation for a administrative law decision to close a very useful local and popular swimming pool

The fact that we are removing swimming facilities that include teaching hundreds of kids to swim after a record amount of drowning this summer is a little hard to comprehend. Please reconsider. Thanks

It is unacceptable for this site to be demolished without an equal or better venue completed or partially completed. It is already hard enough for schools and other groups to secure 50m pools for events as it is. This is an essential facility for the northern beaches and must not be removed!

My father died whilst on the job constructing the aquatic centre and it's comforting to go there and reflect, kids also love the diving boards, please keep it open

Myself and my kids have spent many a day enjoying this facility, I taught a friend of my sons to swim there. I even had my school swimming carnivals there many years ago. This is an important facility for the northern beaches and an icon. Surely there must be a better option than closing this great place. I am so sick of the government depts. making changes and saying they are for the benefit of the residents when they have no idea what the people really want or need.

Where are the 1600+ kids going to continue with their swimming lessons/squads etc ... there is insufficient parking at Manly pool already without having to accommodate these swimmers ... and this figure does not include adults or recreational swimmers ?
