It is obvious that the dog is not mean. He is a dog and dogs bark. We have a sign about that at the shelter where I volunteer.

Give the owners back their dog, he isn't a dangerous dog and his family wants him back! Anyone who is be threatened and attacked is going to try to protect themselves and the ones they love! Walter deserves to go back to his family he isn't a dangerous dog!

I want to know why its ok for people to harrass and tease animals and the animals get punished for reacting and the people walk away with not even a slap on the hand. This situation is ridiculous. He is a service dog and his family needs him. Give it a break already.

I have an elderly west highland terrier who barks and jumps at the fence/gate. He's not dangerous, he's protective. He adores people. A dogs bark is a dogs voice. If you felt threatened I'm sure you would shout out in alarm. This is unjust.

I think this dog should be saved and is not a threat to anyone that doesn't threaten him! Please save this dog, he is a loyal and loving dog to his family! No harm should come to him!!!!!!

This is a sorry state for the local mayor to be in. For once in your sorry life, stand up for the under dog (excuse the un) and do the right thing, Adam and Walter need eachother. so get a grip and stop reading about dogs in the papers and actually read breed specifics.

I have a very old 16 year old shepherd cross that would not hurt a fly. But I know she would bark if someone was banging on her fence... that's how they talk. And of course alert their humans something is going on. I am sorry this is actually going on. Walter is part of this family, and the family needs to be reunited. Anyone who teases or aggravates a dog is being spiteful and mean and the blame for that put squarely on their shoulders. Thank You June Wells British Columbia Canada

It is completely preposterous that a Service Dog be labeled a Dangerous dog. Service Dogs are re-evaluated every 24 months for temperament testing. You have zero evidence that this dog is dangerous and I will be advising today the United Nations and all the UNA Associations about his ridiculous allegation. I would have thought you as Mayor would have at least investigated the requirements for service dogs . By the way they cannot be service dogs if they are violent in anyway. I have taken a personal interest in this case and after doing research their neighbor has been caught on several occasions agitating Walter and attempting to video the ordeal. My question to you as the Mayor is What have you done or your police department done to stop this? Are your related to the neighbors or any member of the police department related to them? In my opinion this looks like a clear case of disability discrimination. I have contacted the ADA - Americans with Disabilities Organization and have brought this to their attention. I also have contacted FOX news agency. I also contacted my personal attorney in to assist me in this matter. I am a Globcal Goodwill Ambassador with over 298,000 followers on Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites. I am making only 1 request and only 1 time that you stop this and focus on who the actual criminals are in this case- The neighbors and not the service dog. The owners of the dog should file a lawsuit against the city and name the Mayor specifically.

The way I read the complaint..it says people beat on the fence that the dog is enclosed in...they are making him bark. and jump on the fence...this is crazy...save the dogs life and possibly the young man he is a service dog too....and people quit enticing Walter....leave him alone..

A service dog, that's all I am going to say. Doing his job , as he was trained to do. Please be sensible, do not euthanize. They aren't the ones that deserve it.
