It is unfair to categorize an entire breed of dogs as dangerous. Each dog is different and should be judged individually based on his/her own behaviors. This is even more important when the dog is a service dog. Every rule has exceptions because of unique circumstances. Please, don't be afraid to break a rule when it's the right thing to do. Keep this family together.

I'm only some no one 20 year old kid on night shift at a gas station. I happened to stumble on this and you have my sympathy and my good luck. All of it. I was once a proud owner of a pit bull and had him since I was 5. For the next ten years he would be my best friend, in school I was bullied constantly and had quite literally no friends. Even my own brother didn't like me much. But my pup; he went by diesel, was always there. He never once barked, growled, or even made a whimper in his life. He growled once at a bully who threw a bottle at him. That's all it took. I live in canada, and even here pit bulls are seen as a menace. That dog knew more about me and my feelings. My thoughts than any other living thin on earth. Every secret went to his ears. And every time I cried, he'd slowly crawl over and weep with me. The connection between a boy and his dog is inseparable. The funny thing is, he wasn't a service dog, he never had any special training. He was just my dog. He could do so much, just being a "stupid rabid animal". I whole heartily hope that you can keep your friend. Because there is nothing more important than two things in life. Family and friends. I loved my dog, and I don't doubt for a moment that you love yours. I hope your neighbor gets what's coming to him, atleast he didn't shoot your dog like mine. I didn't get to say goodbye to him. Well, I did, but he didn't hear it. Best wishes to you and your family, James

Service dogs are very expensive to train and it takes years to train one dog. His main job is to protect his client. Please allow him to do his job. No one should be taunting any dog much less a service dog. Slap the hands of the ignorant neighbor. Then maybe he will respect others.

Focus on animal abusers. A judge sterotyping and being rascist is illegal. Sterotyping certain breeds of dogs should be as well.

Walter is a very caring, loveable and devoted service dog!! He should NOT be labeled as dangerous! That is absurd.

Walter is an important dog and there is no reason he should have anything adverse happen here. He helps a human being live a better life, a pupose so important and more like him are needed.
