Do not punish this gentleman or his dog. The neighbor needs to have to walk a mile in mr. McAlister's shoes.

Leave Walter alone. He was doing his job. Arrest the neighbor as a public pain in the butt and make him pay all charges . Walter is Ok. I applaud him.

Dogs are not only companions, but protectors of those they love who give service to those who need them. Surely there is a better way to handle this!

The dog is first a service animal , a member of this mans family second. And finally if some one I don't know was to be near a family member of mine that I care for and take care of I would make a noise and move towards that person as well . With that said how is that any different from what Walter did ? He moved towards the person and barked to warn of the presence? Maybe some one should put me on a list of bad people for protecting my family

Walter is a Registered service dog. What he does in his own yard is to protect his family. He is NOT a dangerous dog.

Dear Mayor Butler,
I am writing in regards of Walters situation of being labeled as a dangerous animal.
I could understand this if he had a record of violence toward people. But this is not the case.
He is a service dog for this family and I would bet he is loved very much.
Please let Walter keep his home with this family and not have him labeled as a dangerous dog.
I pray you will abide this request.
