Is a family member! Would the mayor declare a crying or belligerent child as a danger.... And then WHAT... Euthanize the child? WTF... Who the hell does the mayor think he is?? People talk and cry..... Dogs bark!

Walter is not a dangerous dog. He is a valuable member of this family, and he performs a much needed service. Please do the right thing for this family and do not register Walter as a dangerous dog.

Shame on you all that take away a family member - especially a service dog....How do you sleep at night? Stop judging breeds when you clearly have no knowledge about them and stew on stereotypes.... Shame on you. Get them their dog back and stop being bullies. You arrogant people need to realize that you're not going to win this way - you will be brought down for what you do - KARMA will get you.

I encourage you as the mayor of Mantachie to support a repel of this unfair ordinance that is not based in fact or science. No particular dog breed is inherently dangerous.
At a minimum I pray you support an exemption for service dogs. Restrictions on service animals may be a violation of the ADA and could open the city to unnecessary litigation.
I also hope you will intervene in the case not only as the right thing to do but to eliminate the unfavorable publicity this creates for Mantachie. As a Mississippi native born in Amory the state, your county and city need positive publicity to overcome judgments of our fair state.

Walter is a valuable and trained service dog, who is loved and NEEDED by a member of the community. NO mayor has the right to pass judgment on these dogs...EVER! That is not his expertise. Mayor...stick to what you know....running a city, not judging animals!

Where is the compassion in Mississippi? The neighbor sounds like they are dog haters, and don't you investigate complaints. Oh yeah just remembered in Mississippi you play that game of sign a complaint and no matter what arrest. That state is backwards
