a dog always protects his master of all dangers and this might have been mistaken to be an attack. If the dog was dangerous then the family keeping it is at the highest risk

It's the neighbor who needs to be deemed as dangerous not Walter. Why isn't he being punished for agitating Walter? Walter hasn't done anything wrong leave him alone.

First thing - the neighbor alerted the dog by hitting on the fence. If anything the neighbor should be charged for creating a disturbance and trying to damage the fence which would be common property.
Walter was in his property and NOT creating the disturbance.
Charge the HUMAN and let the dog go or else you are going to have start charging every human as "dangerous", every human who looks over a fence when someone on the other side makes a noise.
This whole idea of labelling a service dog that responded to a noise is extremely illogical and is clearly driven by personal motivations like maybe an animal hater. This is logically incorrect even to someone who is not invested in animals. Please come to your senses and prosecute the neighbor!

Ironic that anyone can carry a gun about in public, for protection they say. Yet a severely disabled person with a dog trained to protect them can be subjected to harassment & grief by an action like this? A few spots on TV, explaining that people need to leave service dogs alone it all it would take.

Perhaps the human who antagonized this service dog, should be registered as cruel and ignorant. How about a day in court for that.

Walter should not be registered as a danger dog. He's a special dog, a service dog, for a disabled child, so he needs to be around to help the family.
