Save our museum. We still want to come to the museum's talks, craft workshops and our regular textile group! We come all the way from Birmingham for this Museum!

Walsall museum is well used by local people and visitors and they should note be deprived of local heritage.

I agree that the Council should not "save" £70,000 by closing the Museum. There again I think it not good to fight for one service to be retained if it means that £70,000 will be cut from some other service. Just as I did last year (the only one of 60 Councillors to do so) I shall vote against any budget proposal that includes ANY cuts in services and jobs. Across the country and here in Walsall, residents, trade unions, workers and dare I say, the LABOUR PARTY, should be demanding that the Government STOP decimating local Council services with year after year cuts! Let not the system divide and rule, by us falling into the trap of choosing one cut in preference for another! Cllr. Pete Smith.

This is our heritage! Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery has just created a similar exhibition to great acclaim. We were the trail-blazers in Walsall: why lose this for the sake of £70.000? How much is that per head of population compared with our own history which is beyond price?

Walsall Museum is an important aspect of the towns history and our heritage! Save the museum for future generations who will be able to educate themselves of what Walsall was all about!

Walsall Museum offers the people of Walsall an excellent and unique service. It's relatively low running costs mean that it is also excellent value. It is wrong for the council to close this museum, especially when it holds nationally important collections and offers valuable services to local people.
