Walsall needs to be proud of its heritage and not give the message to the residents that the wn is worthless. It would be a great loss to us.

I was born in Walsall. I can't believe the council want to close one of its' few cultural contributions to the area.

This is very, very sad. Museums are central to the identity of a town and the sustaining of a sense of community. A place the size of Walsall needs one. I hope there is a solution to this problem - perhaps moving over to trust status (as in Birmingham) or the securing of funding from sources other than the Council. The first stage involves mobilising local people.

This is an extremely important museum not only to the people of Walsall and their children but to the country as a whole.

This museum is part of Walsall's rich heritage and generations of local people have been inspired by it over many years. How are people to educate themselves if information and culture may only be bought by the rich? Leave our libraries and museums alone. You underestimate their importance!

I understand that Walsall museum holds the most complete collection of early twentieth century working class clothing - this collection is very important - get it out of the stores and on display and get some foot fall!

As a resident of Aldridge and visitor to Walsall museum for many years I feel it is very important that the history of the people & trades should be preserved. Walsall Council should not even consider closing it. They sould, instead, encourage people including school, college & university students from surrounding areas to visit. This would give Walsall Town more footfall & could boost trade in shops, cafes etc

We must keep our museum. Children and adults can learn so so much, and would miss such beauty that is held within it

This Museum celebrates Walsall's local history and the hard working Walsallites in the past that created the town of a 100 trades SHAME on Walsall councillers. Do we realy need to spend £50,000 on a new car for the mayor ? do we realy need to spend £400,000 on the Art Gallery ? WHAT ARE YOU THINKING !!! ?
