And when people say “it will disrupt children in play” how does it? The answer is it doesn’t, only the field would be remodeled to turf, while the playground would probably be untouched. Meaning that it wouldn’t cause any disturbances in the area. And even if it did, Meridian park is also an option. In my opinion that park is much better. Wallingford park is only composed of a small play ground and a small field, while Meridian has a bigger playground and a much bigger field giving more room for children to play. GIVE TURF TO WALLINGFORD PARK!

People are still pushing back with the same tired arguments about play space despite all evidence to the contrary. Stop listening to the neighborhood grumbling and email your local council member to demand the turf installation. We need to keep pressure on the parks department until they actually look at the plan.

LITERALLY just do it. The field is a swamp half the year anyway.
So many more people in our community will be able to benefit from this turf field compared to the current muddy park. We should not prioritize the needs of a few people who like to run their dogs over the needs of thousands of students who lack a facility that every other high school and just about every other middle school in the city already has. Change is hard, but we live in a city, and cities change. Let's get on with building this field.
