I don't think arts of ANY kind should be taken out of schools! It needs to stop and kids need to be able to learn the wonderful world of arts, wither its music, drama or art class!

Music is an essential part of a any core curriculum! It trains both sides of the brain and therefore helps students with concentration skills and other learning. Taking it out of school is a mistake. Concerned.

My wife and I were band parents at WAHS for 10 years with 3 kids and traveled everywhere they competed and enjoyed it as much as the students. We also attended every concert on the stage. These kids NEED this experience. Please keep this going

Why not cut some of the sports programs instead of music? Life is not just about football!

We owe it to our children to expose them to the arts as well as the sciences. Music is a part of our daily lives and enjoyment of life. Our world without art is an incomplete world. Mr. Holland's Opus speaks volumes.

Art and music is as important as academics and proven to help students excel in other areas, it's a disgrace to end the program

It is so important to give students the chance to learn and have arts programs in their schools. It is a form of expression, an experience and a way of life that needs to be provide to student to experience. The arts should never be tossed aside like a piece of inedible meet.

It's important our students have arts programs in their curriculum. CCSS needs to reduce cost somewhere else and not the arts.

It is so important for children to have the arts supported just as much as sport. The arts encourages individuality, creativity, and helps children who are not athletic to find friends and feel that they can still do something important. There is not a job in the world which does not include an artist, whether it be graphic design, or the music we heard on the radio to get us through the day. It is sad to see people who work just as hard as anyone else being overlooked because orchestra is not a sport.
