It’s heartbreaking that the Catholic Church doesn’t wish to continue its ministry in Brooklyn, NY. This is a horribly telling decision

So sad.
VA is such an important place for girls Catholic education. Every effort should be given to maintain this school.

Stop the greed! Dont allow the corrupt politicians to play a role in how this ends! Everyone know what will happen if they influence the decision making! Dont let this happen! Fight folks!

VA was my second home for 15 years. The girls were not just my students but I considered them my daughters. The faculty and parents were all extended family; we shared every milestone and every wonderful memory in this faith-filled school. My hope is that it continues to inspire all the young ladies who hopefully continue to walk through those gates because its a treasure that should be preserved and stand tall for generations to come. Please do not close this much needed school and sell the property. In an ever changing world, we must have religion and if each school/church is closed, we will not have that!!

A shame and a disgrace for a true landmark such as Visitation to be stolen from the young girls of Bay Ridge community by Sisters who have abandoned their mission and vocation.

Please do not close down this catholic school. As a Catholic and living in Bay Ridge for over 50 years this institution has been an icon in this neighborhood and should remain as such. Lots of history

I am a Roman Catholic living for decades in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. My children attended both Catholic elementary and high schools in Brooklyn.
Keep Visitation Academy in Bay Ridge.
Our girls need it.
