I am devastated!!! Vidant means so much to me exercise and social! Have been completely depressed. Along with the Covid 19 and now this. I take a water aerobics class and the members are like family. We get together once a month for lunch and some of us are social friends that get together occasionally. It really means a lot. All of the ones I text with r also devastated. One of our instructors has texted not for us to do anything yet she was trying to figure out something for us. Although NOTHING can tak the place of Vidant!!!!!

Closing the Vidant wellness center is a huge mistake. It is a community facility that serves to the well being and wellness of employees.
I believe that there are numerous programs at VWC that are of less use and with proper management can make the facility stable. It significantly decreases recruitment - for instance as a fourth year resident seriously considering staying at Vidant upon graduation, closing this facility is a huge disadvantage and makes me look elsewhere. I would be happy to pay more monthly to maintain this service.

This facility needs to be saved! I have used it for 20 years and I have a handicapped adult daughter that lives for the pool there.
There must be a way to keep it open or sell it immediately to another fitness group!!

I’ve been a member since retirement in 2014. Jared Beddard has been my trainer for most of that time. I feel every employee has our best interest at heart and wants me to be my healthy best! We must have this facility to assist the many senior citizens who are my friends and fellow “gym rats”! There must be SOME way to have this facility stay open.

The closing of VWC is devastating not only to the loyal and dedicated employees but to the citizens of our community, especially the Senior fitness programs. There is no reason that effective financial management cannot support the re-opening of our gym.

I love the wellness center. Taking my 2’toddlers to the child care center was amazing for me to be able to utilize the classes and them have fun as well. They looked forward to going too! Please don’t close it is vital to all our mental health.

It’s impossible to believe that the cornerstone facility for Greenville has been closed . I’m absolutely crushed over this decision which will have a negative impact on not only my health but on the health of our community. Not acceptable!

Please reconsider the plan to close Vidant Wellness in Greenville. It’s been a great experience for my daughter and she will continue use the facility for as long as it’s open.

As a stroke survivor this place has been the only place that was safe enough for me to exercise and return to a somewhat normal routine. The employees were thoughtful and caring. It was awesome for senior citizens that needed a little extra help. If Vidant’s mission statement is to help the community with wellness & health it doesn’t make any sense to shut down the one thing that works the best. Please keep it open we need this in our community!

VW is the ONLY gym on the west side of Greenville. It is the ONLY gym that offers quality equipment, variety of classes, lap pool, therapy pool, and performance center in one. I’ve been a member for over 15 years and devastated by this news. For a community hospital, focused on promoting health in the community, shutting down this comprehensive facility makes no sense. SAVE VWC!

We love this gym! My daughter loves the kids gym. It really got her excited to take charge of her health.
