The Victor Condo is a highly significant building, an important example of Postmodernism and experimental housing. Do not allow it to be demolished!

This school has been a blessing to so many and the only school with the uniqueness of understanding wholeheartedly the cities surrounding San Diego/Tijuana and it’s border.

Carlsbad needs a soul, not unchecked development for the sake of development!

Like it or not, this is a distinctive and creative piece of architecture worth preserving. I don't like to knock developers, especially considering who designed this building, but if the new developers/owners didn't like it, they didn't have to purchase it.

This is an important architectural example and is one of few buildings that represent this style... not to mention its unique style contributes greatly to the charm and sense of place in the neighborhood. Please save the Victor condos!

Every year many old and remarkable structures are destroyed. Please do not destroy these treasures!!!!

First, I could not believe my beloved Carlsbad allowed the building of a structure to 100% BLOCK THESE 3 HOMES FROM OCEAN VIEWS!! I lived in the far right unit with my best friends from 81-82? to Jan 1985 when I moved to Pensacola with my new husband (barely pregnant..one and only successful pregnancy) This place was surrounded with My home on Garfield wa MAGICAL, I swear. I was never more relaxed and happy in my life! EVERY MASSIVE WINDOW (except the kitchen and loft) HAD OCEAN VIEWS! Every weekend, and some weekdays, there were folks out front with cameras and tripods or canvas and easel. It was an "attraction" They are still unique. MY SUGGESTION? TEAR DOWN THE BEAST BUILDING PLACED BETWEEN THESE HOMES AND THE OCEAN!

Keep traditional buildings for keeping a city’s culture!

INHO this building has got to go. It doesn't fit the area, and doesn't meet the current demand for housing. The 'Blendo' style simply doesn't fit in refined downtown Carlsbad.....but, maybe it would fit if it was sitting in the middle of Legoland? ;)

Please save this exciting building on the basis of its architectural merit. I should also note, a new "luxury" building would doubtless end up as vacation rentals rather than residential housing.

This should be preserved not razed !

It would be a shame to destroy something so lovely.

We must Not lose this part of our local history. Removing significant local structures only removes the heart of a community. We need to keep the heart and soul of these communities alive and that involves keeping in tune with local heritage and saying no to developers who want to remove or replace it.

They add diversity to the community.

Please save this iconic and quirky piece of Carlsbad history.
