The improvements to the skatepark should be alowed to stay, a lot of time and hard work has been put in to it and it's a vast improvement to what was there, please keep the new work

Coming from a Skater of 26 years this part of the park is the best part of the skate park and much safer than the poorly built 80's relic of the original. The original is unsafe due to it been painted by kids supervised under a youth art program leaving it slippy and unskatable, Obviously no risk assessment carried out when this was done. So no funding in local youth facilitys makes people take action. They dont have money to fund aplications to council and the paper work trail that incures. These people just want to turn an unusable part of the skatepark into somthing better with there own money. Its concrete what part of concrete is unsafe it doesnt move once set.
Mabey the tax payers money would be better spent on providing better facilities in VB rather than counter productive means. There is currently no smooth space to skate in VB never mind curves and ledges skaters constantly crave for. Removing this will send kids to other less social activitys which costs families and community way more in the long run.

The council should be paying & improving this for everyone but NO they won't. And instead of thanking a local whos put time, money & effort into improvements, you criticize him & threaten to destroy his hard work......... Council are idiots!!

Kids need outdoor spaces and with no public transport to connect them to anywhere else this is desperately needed.

Why destroy something made for the community? Construction is documented through the process.
Let the area be used for something positive.
