"Non-traditional American" sports help all institutions benefit from diversity, inclusion, learning and the health aspects of activity. Unquestionably, this is the result of continued cuts and attacks on education from our state administration. I suggest that if cuts are necessary, they are considered equally across programs. What if UWN eliminated basketball or football?

The college experience is more than simply attending classes. It the opportunity to participate in your school's various athletic programs s either a participant or spectator. Both build school spirit and loyalty to one's alma mater. Soccerr, in particular, offers opportunities to athletes of a more average build. Colleges that trim athletic programs are a step closer to becoming a University of Phoenix.

The program did not have automatic bid for many years and it did not make any difference, national runner up just a few years ago
