Use incentives (like 5 or 10 years no tax) to demolish derilect buildings and rebuild instead of selling off one of the very few public access points to the Saint John River.

There seems to be plenty of land in SJ needing REDEVELOPMENT and lots of it in pretty prime locations, with excellent views These spaces are so littered with ruined modern structures that it is hard to see them for what they are. A little imagination and a few city dump trucks could make a big difference. Lets look at those places, before we start repeating that destructive pattern in pristine places like Tucker Park.

Parkland should not have to be defended with every change in council!

Part of what attracts new residents to Saint John are gems like Tucker Park. Look to Moncton's green parks and Fredericton's bike and walking trails as examples of this.

Encouraging sprawl away from the city center will not help the city's development.

Don't do it. Its not the right thing to do. Who do you suppose will buy the land or have it given to them for a song. I wonder!

SJ has enough land it can sell off. Leave our parks alone, Don Darling and company. They are NOT yours to sell!!!
