Ok so the council is payed from tax payers money to clean up the waste from the school van? I would rather my taxes were spent elseshwere thank you.
The pupils will not always go into wishaw town centre for the same products. Wishaw has healthier choices also if students are not able to make it up to the main street then they should only have a healthy option available, such as the school canteen.
I fail to see how litter leads to road accidents and I don't recall hearing about any pupils being involved in road accidents as a result of their choice of eating establishment.
Not every childs parents are aware they are eating at the vans. Many parents simply give their child money and the proximity of the van to the school merely exploits this trust.
Walking burns calories yes? by walking more or encouraging children to take advantage of the healthy choices available in the canteen then the issue of obesity is not an unintelligent assumption.

First of all, the comment stating the van increases pollution through litter is complete lies. The area is cleaned 3 time a a day by the staff of the vans, and then again at the end of the day by the council. So that comment is complete invalid.
Secondly, the comment in relation to the van taking advantage of the schools location. Let me put this to you. As soon as the burger van stops trading, the pupils will travel Into wishaw town centre for the exact same products. This will lead to an increase in litter in our town centre and also leads to the possibility of road accidents etc. No one has ever forced any child to eat from the van, and their parents are well aware that there money is being spent here. Trisha and Annemarie are very well known in the local area and are friends with most of their customers and their family. By assuming this is a solution to reducing obesity is an unintelligent assumption to make. Until the day there isn't a fast food establishment at every corner of every street in our country, don't try and convince me that things like this will work.

It's up to the kids to eat from it. If it's not the van, they'll go elsewhere. Didn't do me any harm!

The kids will walk to wishaw if the vans not there , it's safer for them to just go to the van .

I agree with this, the van is a well known disturbance to the community causing pollution not only through litter but also through the seagull excrement which is a secondary bi product.
