We on the Save the Worden's Ledges Homestead Committee are working diligently with local as well as state organizations to save The Worden Homestead from being demolished. The home has been a permanent fixture in the community for many years. We feel this home is an important piece of history that should be saved not only for our children but generations to come. Surely Cleveland Metroparks can find the resources to preserve this irreplaceable gem. In addition to the building there are carvings on the property. Seems the Metroparks' commitment to conservation through its grants program could find resources to protect this "endangered" relic on its own property.
Instead of tearing it down, why not look at some of the things CVNP and Medina County Park District have done with similar structures? Demolition seems terribly short-sighted...
My grandparents visited that house back in the 30s and 40s. Keep it. Alot of people who lived through the depression know what that house ment
As a life long resident of Hinckley (45 years) I would be heartbroken to see a part of our history and landscape erased from our community.
This house belonged to my great great grandparents. Please save this piece of history. I would be heart broken to see it go. Our families still enjoy this place, and pass it's history to our children. My children would like to be able to share with their children . Too many old houses get torn down . I am willing to donate my time and money to save this historical homestead.
I am always up for preserving history. Good luck. If we continue to tear down everything how can our children learn about where we came from?
This is a wonderful site and it would be a shame to have it destroyed. Please reconsider.

This homestead is an important part of Hinckley's past. I can vividly remember visiting here when I was a kid. It has a true connection to the Hinckley Stone Carvings and and should be preserved for future generations as a Hinckley Landmark.
