Archives are for all for ever for everyone .....not to be denied access to. We all need to know our history to enable us to know who we really are.

My fellow volunteers at Hanbury Hall are doing a great deal of research into the Vernon family and Hanbury estate, and find the records, most of which you retain, an invaluable source.

It’s important to leave archives in the county they were produced for.

We learn lessons from our past but if we don't have records we cannot avoid mistakes

This service is valuable and needs the funding to keep it alive.

Full access to the archive supports continuing original research into all aspects of the local history of my town, Alcester, which enriches the lives of present day residents greatly.

I have used the Worcestershire Archives in my family research. This is a most valuable source of information and should be enhanced, not subjest to cut backs

I support this petition to keep the archive adequately financed and where it currently is, allowing local people and educational establishments access to their history. Give archivists time and opportunity to investigate additional means of funding.

It is surely easier & cheaper to keep something you already have than to spend on bureaucracy to destroy it?

Although resident in Warwickshire, I was born and schooled in Worcestershire, and most of my working life was also spent in Worcestershire.

I live in Warwickshire but only 3 miles from the county boundary with Worcestershire. It is appalling that these cuts are being considered and am pleased to add my support to this campaign
