Wow - how on earth can anyone learn more about Worcestershire and related services with these outrageous cuts?!! Saving your history - should be a most important focus! My grandmother and her ancestors all came from Worcestershire, and I love finding info about the area, businesses, early archaeology, history... :(

If we want to encourage visitors to explore and enjoy Worcs we all need to have access to local history.

As a researcher living in Canada I greatly deplore the proposal to reduce funding for the Archives. Such a cut to an important record repository will have far reaching and permanent consequences to many people both in the UK and around the world and in my view is a very shortsighted action.

The Archive service in the Hive is part of an outstandingly successful alliance of town and gown (city and university) - a 21st century winner at Worcester and a potential income stream. Use it. Dont lose it.
