Please save this service- it has supported learning in my school. How can young people appreciate Heritage without this? Looking back makes looking forward meaningful- if we are to support identity, history and culture we must maintain this Service.

The Worcestershire archives are an invaluable resource of the history of the county to historians, researchers, educators, etc .., now and in the future and as such must be retained and made available to the public.

Whilst appreciating funding dilemmas, having access to knowledgeable staff and the material donated by us, the public, is vital to understanding our heritage. History informs the present and the future, evidenced by recent events around WW1. Please do not jeapodise this invaluable resource.

Archives are boring... yes, if you don't understand the immense value they provide for research and the (local) history they contain. If cost-cutting is required, start at the top with our overpaid 'executives'!

It will be shameful if these proposed cuts are implemented.

This remarkable facility/service must not be lost...or diminished. The staff and the service they provide are exemplary and the lost to both local and wider communities would be disastrous, both in terms of the loss of service and the people it brings into Worcester who would not otherwise come into the City.

These archives are allowing so many research projects into the local history to come to light. I have been a regular attender of these archives every week for the past 6 years. Without them the research I, and others, are under taking would not be able to thrive the way they are. They are so valuable and need to be saved.

This is a disgraceful move by County Council, local history is of profound importance to everyone, how could they even think this!!

This is a scandalous decision and will rip out the cultural heart of the county. To understand the present and to define the future we must understand the past and the preservation of the written and archaeological record is critical to this. A policy which slashes the resources required to do this is akin to cultural vandalism and must be resisted

A irreplaceable service. If the vile pigs who run the council think you can automate this service - then they don’t understand this service. #chopfromthetop

Where else can anyone trace the history of Croome, including the Oral History Project and Worcestershire? These archives are invaluable and need to be accessed by the public.
