This is a fantastic public resource which must be preserved. We have been given the opportunity to access top class facilities which have been paid for through public funds at great expense which are now being threatened for the want of a meagre sum of money. Stop the madness!

As a long term user and a small scale donor the curtailing of the service will do long term damage to the profile of the historic county and the further development of the hugely important collections held by the service
