Save the Wey Hill Car Park Saturday Dustcart

I have lived in haslemere for over 30 years and use the dustcart regularly on Saturdays.

In a rural area with large gardens this service is invaluable and should be kept

This service is especially invaluable to the elderly residents of the Wey Hill area, as the next nearest facility is Milford. Furthermore, the ecological benefits of two rubbish trucks coming to the car park, as opposed to countless individual car journeys to a tip must also be taken into consideration.

As Haslemere residents we use this facility regularly. We already paid for it through Council tax and if withdrawn SCC should reduce our tax, or offer an alternative. Why should Council taxpayers pay the additional fuel cost to go to Witley? SCC - your fuel costs have reduced - think again please.

I support the petition to keep the refuse service at Weyhill Haslemere. It is a very well used and sensible service for the local community. Don't scrap it.

must be better than having loads of people drive to Witley or fly tip. Must also be much cheaper for the community. Waverley will save a little the community will pay a lot in all those miles with cars full of rubbish

Withdrawal of this service will result in an increase in fly tipping in the town and surrounding areas.

This is a excellent and popular service. I use it regularly for garden waste and there is a constant flow of people on a Saturday morning, if not a queue! The brown bins are insufficient for the volume of garden waste produced in many peoples gardens meaning more anti social bonfires, unnecessary trips to the tip at Witley, or worse fly tipping.

save this valuable resource for Haslemere to avoid more residents driving the 20 mile round trip to Witley, which isn't very 'green' when you add up the total miles driven

Please keep this service, my Family and I use it frequently and it has always been fantastic.
