This service is an absolute necessity for Haslemere - one of our own councillors promises extra wheelie bins etc.We don't all live in large houses with large gardens in Haslemere where we can store our large rubbish until we take it to Witley in our large cars that we don't have. This is another cut that hits those who have the least, the most. It also hits the charities/volunteers eg the Wave, who provide services for vulnerable people that Surrey doesn't.

Fly tipping would immediately increase by taking away the Saturday Household waste facility. Witley is far enough away to discourage residents from getting rid of their rubbish in the right way.

The many 100's of people who use the Saturday morning service will simply stream to Witley to dump their waste. They will clog up the roads, add fumes where there should be none and help create even more potholes than already exist in Surrey. How short sighted!
