Our theater is the heart of our city, the historical West Bend sign says it all.
Back in my day there were a lot of us that hung out at the West Bend Theater,
because it was a safe & interesting place to go to. We saw so many wonderful movies with family & friends that gave us many fond memories. Some of us had our birthday party there, our first date there, or our first kiss there. My fondest memory was going to the West Bend Theater, with my Grandma Kieckhafer to see "The Sound Of Music"and"Gone with the Wind".
The West Bend Theater was the perfect setting, while watching those movies.
Do you remember sitting there in awe looking at the beautiful architecture, the big red curtains & sitting in the comfortable red seats? I can go on and on how wonderful & unique our theater is. What will happen when u decide to destroy or take apart our theater? Do you honestly think the people of West Bend want it taken away from them? Do you really think they want their West Bend sign attached to half a building or no building at all? Do you think the West Bend people are going to sit outside where there landmark was more than a couple months out of the year? Why? We have so many beautiful parks around and throughout our city. I have talked to a lot of people from West Bend, and they told me if they go downtown and see that our landmark or our West Bend sign is where? What? they will be sad. We want our downtown the way it is, so please do not destroy this beautiful building with the cool West Bend sign that reminds us of who we are and how proud we are of our city. Sincerely, Susan (Kieckhafer) Patterson

The West Bend Theatre is the most recognizable and iconic landmark in downtown West Bend. Too much history to tear down. As a renovated theatre, it has the potential to be the hub of entertainment in West Bend and draw people from all over the area to downtown. Other cities have transformed historic movie theaters into entertainment venues featuring concerts, comedy acts, plays and classic films. Strong leadership could do the same for the Historic West Bend Theatre.

Please do not destroy yet another of West Bend's historical structures. Places like the WB Theater are what make small communities like ours special.

I would love to see this theater refurbished and made into an old-time theater like the Rivoli in Cedarburg and show older movies and charge a lesser price than the regular cinimas. Love this building. Please save it! Downtown would just not be downtown without that beautiful building and the big sign.

I would love to see the theater preserved. I saw my very first movie there and know of many people who have shared their stories as well. The heart of downtown... <3 Save the West Bend Theater!

The theater is the focal point of the down town area. What a huge mistake it would be to tear it down. It needs to be preserved.

I love the old theater. The ideas shown in the paper about tearing it down sound ridiculous! The front facade is not the only part needed. Without the interior the front of the building is useless! Please save the entire theater.

We need to preserve our most recognisable sights in West Bend. How about something like what was done in Cedarburg with the Rivoli theater ?
