Don't destroy Fleming ton by taking down another land mark. I grew up in Flemington and loved all the historical building that stood the test of time. This hotel can be an attratiction once again. This could be a way to draw people back to Main St. Make it a reason people come back to Flemington and have a place to stay once again. Work with the builders to have a stake in the landmark instead of making the process so hard and costly for them. Bring back the small town feel by inviting community co-ops on weekend and hand made craft fairs.

Please save what's left of old Flemington! God knows the area has lost enough of what made it unique, and surely the area doesn't need more ugly or faux old retail spaces!.

This building was built in 1812 and is over 200 years old, thus it should be considered a protected historical landmark. It is one of the symbols of this very town. We must not allow greed to destroy it!

We have been shoppe owners in Flemington since 1984, and have seen it's gradual decline by demolishing many of it's historical buildings and properties. The history of this beautiful Union Hotel should be reason enough to put the effort into saving it. It is Flemington's history, heritage and legacy! Those responsible for so-called "turning this town around" have driven out all of the charming little businesses that gave Flemington the life, blood and soul that it used to have. Customers that we talk to regularly constantly ask us "What has happened to Flemington?" Repair and restore should be the goal, not destroy and decimate, and watch the County seat of Hunterdon come back to life!!
