I truly love the hotel I think it's the coolest building I've seen. I Remeber back 3 years ago before I lived in flemington I herd about the union on the internet and I thought it was the coolest building little that I realized that a year later I will be living in flemington so when the time came on April 13 2015 I moved to flemington. I Remeber the very first time I drove trough main street I was amazed at all the historic buildings this was a real historic town ! And I thought that was priceless but when I saw the union for the first time in person oh man I was super excited I'll never forget that day ! It was one of the best days of my life I had seen it I had seen the great union ! And as time past on I became more and more of a fan of the building I wanted to know evey thing about it and the more I learned the more I liked it. The 1935 kidnpping case all the huntings ect. I also had a passion for old building ever since I was a little kid and now I'm 15 and I want to be an antiques dealer and picker when I grow up and I love historic buildings there build with quality and strength and the more original the better and the union hotel. Has a lot of that and I know that new building will never look at fancy and as strong as old historic buildings it's one of my life goles to go inside the building. Some of my friends had bin inside the building and told be it was beautiful. And i want do anything I can to save this building. Its a important lank Mark and it represents flemington and it needs to stay flemington is a historic town but if we keep demolishing all the historic buildings then there wont be a historic town left. And look at what these developers did to flemington speed way it's now gone and that was a sware historic landmark that could have stayed. We already lost one lank Mark are we really going to lose another one ? And think about what this big building is going to do to main street it's going to tower over evey thing making a big odd ball i

I believe that the restoration of the Union Hotel is imperative for rebuilding downtown Flemington. The vision of Mr. Cust has no place in Historic Flemington. It would remove the character of the town, leaving it cold & commonplace. The history of downtown in general, and the Union Hotel in particular, must be restored.

It's going to be a huge mistake to destroy a beautiful historical building at the center of Flemington. Such landmarks need to be seriously considered and repurposed. Authenticity sells. Huge new generic construction is appropriate in a place like liberty village, not in the downtown of a historic town.

I still remember my parents taking us kids to the Union Hotel when they had a restaurant there, and tearing it down, to me would bevakin to ripping someone's heart out to make them better.

I agree, completely, with saving the historic landmarks of Hunterdon County and, more specifically, of Flemington. So many towns "look back", with deep regret, at what has become of their once lovely and inviting main streets. My hope is that this does not happen in flemington and, in the process, destroy important icons

We must preserve some of the last bit of character and distinction left in Flemington. The Union Hotel could suite so many purposes, and it has already been assessed that salvage and renovation is indeed possible!
