Please save the hotel.....any way you can....even if it's just the front outer shell......This building can be something great and bring many people to Flemington if done right!

As someone with deep families ties to Hunterdon County and the Flemington area, I am beyond appalled that anyone would consider destroying this important and beautiful historical icon. I would rather see it vacant for years to come then for it to be destroyed. The development project might be a good idea, but really, here? Find another location please! This is a Ridiculous and embarrassing plan for the integrity of the town.

This is absolutely wrong. To Destroy Historical Area's as part of a so called "Revitalization" is a dumb move. You have to keep the character of a neighborhood or two alive. By demolishing it, there is no such character even left. Strip Malls, Banks, and all these other developments are a joke in and of themselves. Here on Staten Island we have abandoned store fronts that many of our political representatives said would "redevelop and revitalize" the areas of interest. Instead it has backfired. Do not destroy this building!

Flemington is all about the history and the hotel is a big part of that. It can be fixed and updated to meet today's standards. Tearing it down destroys that history.

Once the past is destroyed, it'll never come back. All we'll have are memories.

Great way to destroy a very historical town. What happened to the days when people had class?

Flemington has lost to many historic locations already. This is just to much. You don't need to destroy a town to rebuild it.

WHY? Why would anyone tear down history? I grew up in this town and I'm saddened by the way it looks. This is just the topper. I'm ready to leave again. I'll go pay taxes in a town that respects history.

Flemington's unique character comes from buildings like the Union Hotel. This is what would draw people to this town. While the building needs extensive renovations, the ROI would be worth it on many levels. It isn't always just about the money.

Keep the hotel. Maybe put offices on the upper floors and a restaurant on the first floor.

The stagecoach proposal that was submitted looks like a building you would find in Newark. Please preserve the history here and find a way to make it work
