Flemington would never be the same without the hotel. Whoever has the idea to tear it down should be shot. Its a historical landmark. It should be refurbished and used as an inn as it was intended. It could b made into a museum! What is wrong with people???

I've lived in this town for 27 years. I used to go to the hotel for dinner with my parents all the time as a kid. We've had parties and family dinners there. It's been apart of my life since I was born. My father used to work there. SAVE THE HOTEL!

we are slowly loosing our history.
I have seen what "new " buildings look like to the older ones removed., Very Sad.

My Dad worked in the Court House and would always eat lunch in the Hotel and mingle with the guests. It was such a beautiful place and could be again. Please save it.

I moved from flemington three years ago but I was born and raised there, it is a great town and the hotel is part of its history and it needs to stay

I may no longer live in Flemington, but I do still attend church in Flemington and my mother and other family still live there, so I am in town on a regular basis. Every time I go to town I am literally almost brought to tears. As a kid I grew up in town (Mine Street) and history was everywhere... you were almost tripping over the history in town....now I see more and more historical buildings and sites destroyed or demolished completely for "progress". This is not progress when the new fangled store that was put in on a historical site tanks and the whole place is ripped down. Now you want to rip down one of the most historical sites in our towns history for "progress"..... saying it will cost too much to fix. Since when do we put a price on history? Since when do we put a price on learning opportunities? Fix up the Union Hotel and bring it back or as close to the time of the trail.....turn the hotel in to a museum for the Lindbergh trail. This will then generate income to pay off the amount to fix the hotel and later help the town as well. Give kids a hands on approach to the history....preserve a landmark AND bring life back into down town. All arguments solved with one solution. Why can't this be done?

Shocking to see the building proposal from Cust. That belongs on 31, not in the middle of town, surrounded by the beautiful historic buildings. Would be a sore thumb. That building needs to be saved.

I am a hotel developer and have successfully restored many landmark buildings an NY, London, SF Miami.
It is a crime to distroy such a landmark.
