Redevelopment and historic preservation are not mutually exclusive. The best way to breathe new life into Flemington's downtown is to restore the landmarks that make our town unique.

My grandfather was one of the 5 State Trooper Detectives in the Lindbergh Baby Kidnapping case. The Union Hotel is a irreplaceable piece of history in Flemingtons timeline. Please respect and save the heart of Flemington.

The character of this building is critical to the downtown of Flemington. Resurrecting and repurposing of this icon is vital to Flemington's history and to its identity.

The Union Hotel is part of Flemington's unique character, both architecturally and historically. Please don't allow Flemington's downtown to become another bland, one-size-fits-all area.

Save this beautiful and historic landmark...my family was part of the Lindbergh trial..it would be devastating to destroy such a part of history! Restoring this hotel would bring in people, thereby bringing business to the town.

I used to take my mother to dinner in the dining room here. There were historic murals of the area. She would always tell me stories about the Lindbergh trial and all the famous reporters who stayed there. Who in their right mind would want to tear this place down

The "vision" should be to retain the character of the Union Hotel as much as possible while doing modern renovations. Look at Boston - history in the facade and basic structure; future behind the walls. Come on Jack, you can do it!

In the interest of historical sites, can't we save this one?

Our beautiful town has not been managed well. Please don't make a terrible mistake and take away this wonderful, historical, landmark. Thank you.

The town is crazy for letting the destruction of the landmark be considered. Might as well create Main Street a one big box store shopping center. And you know the town has plenty of money to save it if the town leaders want to save the town...

Really? Tear it down? Time to "fire" the powers that be in Flemington!

This building is a one of a kind treasure. Tearing it down is a disservice to the town. It will lose its uniqueness, never to return. I do a majority of my shopping there. This new construction proposal, is a complete turn off. I'll probably look towards Clinton, etc as my alternative to the concrete monstrosity being proposed.
