I wish to include my rejection on this decision as it only serves as a poor choice of reason for the removal of a natural beauty that's been in it's place for many years that resides in our location...I wholly do not agree with this.

You don’t even need data to know that every tree we lose in the Burdekin increases the heat island effect which is making a dangerously hot place to live. There appears to be no value placed on trees here which is very disappointing and ignorant. Fact is… there IS plenty of science on the benefit of trees - which are best, where is best and why. You cannot replace the value of a healthy tree with shade cloth and air conditioning.

I often pause at this space with my daughter who loves to explore the ponds. Please don’t take away the natural shade!!! It will become a large open space where the sun will beat down and disperse any life forms! Including humans!!! So many trees have been destroyed in this town and reduced the level of shade! Please don’t take this one too!

Totally unnecessary. The tourists love photos of that area to replace it with something temporary is pointless.

I've never heard such madness.
The trees in the main street of Ayr are one of the major things that make this town so beautiful.
How is the even a consideration.

How horrible that a native tree will be ripped down and replaced with something plastic.

What a pathetic reason to knock down a lovely, established tree.

It's disgusting that the idea of removing a real tree for a fake one would even be considered
