Please reconsider this decision. As a parent with a daughter struggling in Lansingburgh school district. We need these reading teachers. To be honest if you can't read nothing else in life will come easy.

Removing the reading teachers from any school is a horrible idea. Reading is fundamental program as well as a building block for the rest of their lives.

Students need the expertise that Reading Teachers have. Their skills enable students to close reading gaps, increasing their learning, confidence, success, and understanding of written material. We can't set our kids up for failure by sending them through life unequipped by one of the most basic human skills, LEARNING TO READ! This proposal is reckless indeed.
