Save the Troy City Schools Reading Department

Teachers are essential

Canceling the reading program is DETRIMENTAL to these students future! Find the money to pay these teachers or cancel something else. Taxes are ridiculous in Troy, where does all of the money go if not to the students well being???

Literacy is the bedrock of education. So many students who struggle with reading may fall behind and not be able to catch up. Please don't cut this essential program for Troy's youth.

Don't do it, kids need them

This is ludicrous. Cutting programs that actually benefit students and prepares them for life is essential. Id prefer cutting the football program way before doing the cut to education. This is a completely illogical and reckless swipe of the pen. Surely, there are other ways you can close the gap instead of decimating an entire department and further burdening other teachers.

I am a teacher in a different district & I would hate for this to happen anywhere.
