It is ridiculous that we are petitioning to save trees. It should be the other way around - owners, including the city, should have to petition to take one down!

I hope this petition will get more signatures! It deserves hundreds. It would be a crime do chop these trees down, even if it is for improved school building. With some imagination, the landscape designers and architects should be able to do both. This is Cambridge!

Cambridge has a strong tree ordinance which applies to its citizens. It should apply the same principles to its own actions where public property is involved.
