Members of the 3 swim clubs already pay entry fees to the pool. For a family of 4, this equates to $616.00 in entry fees alone for a 22 week season. Council imposing a $20,000 per season lane hire fee on top of this would make it well over $1,000 for a season of swimming. These clubs are entry level community clubs, no elite competitors. Shame NB Council.

Help save Manly Swim Club and other amateur clubs and associations in the area. Let's continue to fight to teach our children about appreciation and values by passing on local history. Without history the generations to follow will not have an appreciation of what has been. Money is not everything and I hold hope the council can see the value and importance of such long standing history and assist in developing the children of our future.

Funding developments such as this one might look great on councillors resumes, but shouldn't be at the expense of those that use them, and have done so for years.

Ive been swimming with the club 39yrs straight.now my oldest has been 10yrs they are very upset that saturday swimming never started this year.

The pool was constructed without consultation to its user groups nor with any thought as to how it would generate enough revenue to pay its bills. This mismanagement should not be paid for by our club.

Swimming clubs are the glue that bind a beach community such as ours. Manly Council should support our local swimming clubs as it's here our children and adults develop and train. Many give back through serving the community through surf life saving and patrolling your beaches, so stop money grabbing and see the big picture. Community Clubs should not be profit for Manly council.

Please see sense and help Manly Ladies Swimming Club operate in 2017. Everyone is more than happy to pay reasonable fees in lines with other sports of the Northern Beaches (i.e. $12/child, $16/adult) The swim club provides a wonderful environment to nurture children's loves for swimming.

What council has done is a disgrace, they didn't listen to the pleadings of all the user groups before they spent 30M giving them something they didn't want, now they want those groups to pay off something they don't use, pretty much every user group still swims in the old pools!

swimmers should pay the same rate as footballers ,cricketers to us public facilities despite having to pay additional entry fee next coucil will charge to use the surfing beaches

"Tis the season to be jolly" - not so for the 3 Manly Swim Clubs. 10 weeks, half of the season already lost. Come on NBC, Christmas is also the time for giving. How about a "REASONABLE COMPROMISE" on the lane hire issue ?

my family has been associated with all 3 clubs since the 1960s. 3 generations have swum, made lifelong friend and have wonderful memories . A big part of our lives is forced to close.
