Please support the Zoo fund.. This Zoo is a lasting memorial of goodness in many of our lives and provides much to the local economy. I can't "bear" losing it.
I live in Virginia Beach now, but grew up in Melrose, I have been to this Zoo more than 25 times in my life . Many of them in more recent years when my family spends thousands $$$ to come home on vacations. Please Keep The Zoo Open!

When our children were young, my husband & I bought a membership as we visited the Stone Zoo quite frequently so the kids could grow up respecting and learning about so many interesting animals. I implore that others do the same and/or donate monies towards adopting an animal(s) to help towards the care and food for them! Pls keep the Stone Zoo open - it is iconic to Stoneham and well-known to it's surrounding communities! TY!

The Stone Zoo is a treasure not just to Stoneham, but also for several abutting communities. It's also one of the few good things this state has ever done for our small town. Despite a recovering economy from the recent crisis, our state aid is down 30% since 2009, and now they want to potentially take away our most popular landmark. Please do the right thing & save the Stone Zoo!

I have lived in Stoneham my whole life. We had this same situation years ago with Friends to Reopen Stone Zoo. The community got involved and the zoo was reopened.
This zoo is a treasure in Stoneham. We have to release the funds earmarked for the zoo. Do the right thing. We don't need another development in Stoneham but we do need our zoo!
