This pub has been a great venue for LIVE BANDS .. I have been giggin here for nearly 5 Years ! & in all that time never ever encountered so much as an argument .. They just want a local they can have a drink & watch the bands etc. I'm shocked as a band member to find out on FB. The pub has been closed ?? Maybe higher places want it shut down ... Who knows ... Good Luck Gayle ... Dr DUKE band

OldsKool 70s 80s rock band played here a few weeks ago. We found staff and customers friendly and enjoyed a trouble free night and a warm, welcoming crowd. I've visited The Station on numerous occasions when they had a full house and was surprised to find quite a few mentally disabled among the clientele. I was heartened to see that they were looked after by ALL and they had a great time. In fact I felt as if I had gate crashed a family party. All 5 of us in OldsKool could not believe it when we heard that the pub was being closed down due to violence. You do get drug abuse in most bars these days and that does need to be addressed globally, but I don't see how bar staff could be expected to police the problem as they are not trained to do this ( possibly ) dangerous task and pull pints at the same time. Also what would be the legalities of them attempting to do so? We play in many bars and DO notice the use of drugs EVERYWHERE and to single one pub out for this problem is wrong.

The station pub has been there for many years and the pub itself isn't just any ordinary pub its a pub full of memiores and joy. Many of my family relatives and friends drink in this pub, the pub has been here for over 18 years before i was born its a heritage building in Ellesmere Port.

This community pub should not be closed down because of the actions of one or two people. With so many pub closures within the area the people of Ellesmere Port are losing their sense of community. It is also affecting people financially; bar staff, musicians, delivery staff, breweries as well as those who gain employment by word of mouth.
