Rosemary.and I chose Santa Clara to build ou new home because it was peaceful, charming and a rural community. We further chose the Hills Subdivision because it provided a beautiful natural setting with the views we loved so much. We anticipated like kind development around us. We shyed away from places like Green Valley as it appears to be a hodgepodge of somewhat run down developments. City Councilors- pleas don't let this happen to our community!
Please preserve the beautiful, small town setting that makes Santa Clara so unique and even better than small town America.

The beauty of Santa Clara is not high rise vacation homes. It is the quaint atmosphere and neighborhoods with families and children making their home here. This is a Los Palmas all over again...the first five years it looks great and after that they stand empty, stacked upon one another up the hill. The Cove Wash area has always been a retreat for so many to enjoy. The increased traffic in the area is slowly destroy the beauty. Please do not build these condos here. St. George City recently voted against the same type of vacation rentals. Stand tall for Santa Clara to keep its beauty.

I am not from Santa Clara but my sister is. We visit many times a year and live to ride, hike and bike in those beautiful hills!

I oppose the wanted change. Once you start building to meet the wants of the tourist there will be no stopping. Keep it small so our children can ride their bikes down to the fruit stand with their friends. We moved to Santa Clara so our kids can be kids and do things like we did when we were kids. Lets not add more traffic and congestion. The new condos and town homes will change the dynamic of what makes Santa Clara, Santa Clara!

Growth like this a great opportunity...in the right location. I believe this project could be just as successful on the north side of town by the new Harmons somewhere.

While some growth is good for a community and the economy, this kind of growth will devistate the small town feel of our community. The very reason so many chose to live here. The impact on the roads, the access to it, and the potential continual growth to cover those hills will snowball. I'm totally against this.

I once lived in Santa Clara. I loved how careful zoning made this city a beauty. I still teach here and drive through, just to see the quaint little town. This kind of small town atmosphere is hard to find these days. Please don't take it away!

Santa Clara has a small town homey feel to it and this kind of resort would be detrimental to the long traditions in this lovely town. Keep the zoning to single home development.

Location, location, location. This is not the right location. This will destroy the appeal that Santa Clara brings. Put a product like this up by the fitness center on the old highway. Not in historic Santa Clara.

You can see the Blue Clay where they cut into the hill for the new access to go up in the hills. Haven't developers learned anything. Has the city not learned from the landslides going on. New movement of water saturated blue clay near the Jacob Hamblin home. When these Vacation rentals don't make them enough money or work out. What then? If I were going to purchase property to build a home I certainly would NOT build where I knew this type if development was coming.
