This peaceful & beautiful space is oasis for all. I particularly enjoy walking through it the early morning on my way to the office. It would be a tragedy to eliminate it.

This garden is one of the most stunning landscapes in DC. I would have hoped the Smithsonian would have had more sense than to tamper with it.

Any changes to the Smithsonian should be made around the garden. It is an important part of the Smithsonian complex and needs to be retained at any cost.

This is absolutely my favorite place on the Washington Mall. It is the first place I take my out of town guests. A beautiful and surprising entry to the wonder of all the Smithsonian has to offer. Please, please please do not take it away.

Please do not destroy the garden. It is a unique, beautiful, and serene landscaping gem in the mall. The proposed modern looking landscaping design clashes with the historic look of the Smithsonian castle and will not provide the quiet place of respite so many of us love. The proposed open landscaping is not original--the mall has enough wonderful "open" space already. The beauty of the existing formal gardens lies in its contrast to the surrounding open areas of the mall. Do not destroy this gem.
